Make Music Day is a free, community-wide celebration of music on Market Street in Corning.
Join us for a day of live performances, hands-on music activities, and chances for people of all ages to make some noise. From local musicians and community groups to open mics, drum circles, instrument try-outs, karaoke, and pop-up performances, Make Music Day brings music out of the concert hall and into the streets.
Whether you’re performing, participating, or just exploring downtown, the goal is simple: celebrate the joy of making music together.
Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to share music with the community. Solo performers, bands, students, teachers, school groups, choirs, instrumentalists, singer-songwriters, experimental musicians, and first-time performers are all welcome.
All styles of music are encouraged. Acoustic, electric, classical, folk, rock, jazz, pop, original music, covers, small ensembles, large groups — if it makes music, it belongs.
Performers can sign up online, choose from available time slots and locations, and be part of a citywide celebration of music on Market Street.
No audition. Just music.
