Make Music Day is open to performers of all kinds. Solo musicians, bands, students, teachers, community groups, choirs, instrumentalists, singer-songwriters, and first-time performers are all welcome.
Performers can sign up online and choose an available time slot at one of our Make Music Day locations. Some performance spots will include a sound system or access to power, while others are better suited for acoustic or self-contained performances. Please review the location details when signing up so you can choose the spot that works best for your setup.
No audition, no fee, and no one will be turned away — just sign up, show up, and share some music with the community.
Make Music Day takes a community to make it happen, and we’d love your help.
We’re looking for music teachers, drum circle leaders, info tent volunteers, gear transporters, photographers, and general helpers throughout the day. Whether you can lead an activity, help people find where to go, move a few pieces of equipment, take photos, or simply be an extra set of hands, there’s a place for you.
Volunteers can sign up online and choose the role or time slot that works best for them. No special experience is required for general helper roles — just a willingness to pitch in and help bring music to Market Street.
